ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has removed ban on X (Twitter), opening the microblogging platform completely across the country without requiring VPN. Users had earlier been using proxy services in order to use X, but the ban has now been officially lifted.
This news comes against the backdrop of continued military tensions between India and Pakistan. India made cowardly attack, but Pakistan responded rapidly, downing more than five Indian aircraft. Moreover, Pakistan also confirmed the capture of some Indian soldiers during the growing conflict.
There have not been any government officials’ posting update on unbanning of X or any such update as the platform stayed banned since Feb 2024 elections.
