ISLAMABAD – The Federal Directorate of Education has declared summer holidays in Islamabad institutions from June 5 to August 1, 2025.
All institutions will reopen on Monday, August 4, 2025, according to the official notification.
The directorate has also adjusted the school hours because of climatic conditions.
The one-shift schools will start from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM from May 26. Double-shift schools have been directed to function during the evening hours during these weeks.
BS and ADP class timings will remain unchanged as per schedule. Libraries and IT labs will also be kept open during the summer vacation season, the notification added.
A day ago, the Sindh government formally announced the summer holidays in schools all over the province. The Sindh Department of School Education released a notification announcing the break.
Under the notification, schools in Sindh will remain closed for the summer vacation from June 1, 2025, to July 31, 2025.
The announcement is made for both public and private schools of the region, and it serves as a two-month vacation for students and school workers alike. The measure is in line with the efforts of the region to deal with the effects of the hot summer season on school activities.
