Indian travel vlogger Jyoti Malhotra has been arrested on suspicion of spying for Pakistan amid tensions between the two nations.

Malhotra, a Haryana-based popular YouTuber whose channel Travel with Jo has a large following, was picked up by Indian officials who accuse her of behaving suspiciously during a recent trip to Pakistan.

The charges involve alleged contact with a Pakistani diplomat and an earlier trip to Pahalgam, three months prior to a recent attack in the region.

Malhotra, who has more than 382,000 subscribers, is recognized for filming her travels within India and around the world. She has traveled to China, Indonesia, Bhutan, and other places previously, consistently highlighting culture, nature, and public transportation.

Her upbeat remarks on Chinese infrastructure and picturesque clips from Indonesia have also been targeted by pro-government media and online commentators in India.
