ISLAMABAD — Gold prices in Pakistan on May 8 registered an uptrend in international bullion markets. The price of gold rose by Rs800, to Rs356,900 per tola, while 10 grams price of gold went up by Rs684, at Rs305,984.

This surge comes in the wake of a sharp upsurge on Tuesday, as the gold rate per tola went up by Rs6,100 to stand at Rs356,100, which indicated heavy demand for gold.
The global market witnessed growth, with gold touching $3,385 an ounce, rising by $8 from the previous price, while also carrying a $20 premium.
On the other hand, silver prices in Pakistan were stagnant, with the per tola price staying at Rs3,482.
